Grissom had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the James Clemens Jets a 4-0 shutout on Friday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered an 8-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Carter Edwards looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Isaiah Spencer was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

James Clemens' loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Grissom will have a chance to go back-to-back against James Clemens: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
