Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Notre Dame walked away with it. They slipped by the Garden Grove Argonauts 61-60 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Leading Notre Dame to victory were Isacc Goodman and Jaxon Coduti. Goodman went 6-for-7 from beyond the arc to rack up 23 points, while Coduti dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Goodman a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (86%). Iaroslav 'Yuri' Buinyi was another key player, putting up eight points.

When it comes to explaining why Garden Grove lost, don't look at Neiman Quach. Despite the final result, he shot 53% from the field en route to 31 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Juarez, who posted 11 points along with seven boards and five assists.

Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 15-16. As for Garden Grove, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-13 record.

Looking ahead, Notre Dame will welcome Faith Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Contenders have now posted at least 55 points in their last 16 games. Garden Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
