Basketball Recap: Mancos Bluejays vs. Dove Creek Bulldogs
Mancos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 66-17 defeat at the hands of the Dove Creek Bulldogs. The Bluejays were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-10.
Dove Creek was led to victory by Liam Hassell and Trevan Ivie. Hassell dropped a double-double with 20 points and 17 boards, while Ivie almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds. Hassell's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Sheldon Gardner, who posted six points in addition to ten rebounds and seven assists.
