Basketball Recap: Kady Tegler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dieterich over Sullivan

On Tuesday, the Dieterich Movin Maroons lost to the Sullivan Redskins at home by a 51-34 margin. While losing is never fun, the Movin Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Redskins are ranked 104th).

Dieterich lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kady Tegler, who posted eight points and seven steals. Addison Miller was another key player, putting up ten points and seven boards.

Dieterich's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-13. As for Sullivan, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Dieterich didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-30 victory against Farina South Central on the 30th. As for Sullivan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-24 win against Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] on the 30th.
