Basketball Recap: Desert Oasis Comes Up Short

Desert Oasis was the 60-55 winner over Green Valley when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Desert Oasis Diamondbacks took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Valley Gators. The Diamondbacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Green Valley had a senior duo take command as Deymien Tunis posted 15 points and six boards and Theodore Edquilang earned 11 points and three steals. Those 11 points gave Edquilang a new career-high. Justin Santana was another key player, putting up four points and nine rebounds.

Desert Oasis' loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Green Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Desert Oasis has already played their next contest, a 67-22 win against Pinecrest Academy Cadence on the 22nd. As for Green Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-55 defeat against The Meadows School on the 21st.
