Softball Recap: Lowry's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Lowry has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Damonte Ranch Mustangs. The Buckaroos' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Liliana Aguilar was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and one double. Crisslyn Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Lowry's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Damonte Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowry will take on Elko at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Buckaroos are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Damonte Ranch, they will face off against Douglas at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Mustangs have won four straight at home, while the Tigers won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
