Markesan proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 21) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ripon Tigers, sneaking past 39-36. The win was nothing new for the Hornets as they're now sitting on four straight.

Markesan's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Ripon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Markesan will venture away from home to challenge Montello at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ripon, they will head out to take on Waupun at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
