Basketball Game Preview: Lead Hill Tigers vs. Kingston Yellowjackets

Lead Hill is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Kingston is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. Having just played yesterday, the Lead Hill Tigers will get right back to it and host the Kingston Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lead Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.9 points per game this season.

Lead Hill is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Jasper just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pirates 17-13 in the first quarter.

Despite the defeat, Lead Hill got top-tier performance from Nolan Turner, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Turner a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Royce, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kingston). They were the clear victor by an 84-63 margin over Deer on Tuesday.

Kingston has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Lead Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 22-13.
