Basketball Recap: Cary-Grove Takes a Loss

Cary-Grove was the 57-50 winner over Central when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cary-Grove Trojans took a hard 57-40 fall against the Central Rockets on Tuesday.

Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Patrick Shell out in front who went 8 for 12 on his way to 19 points. Patrick Magan was another key player, going 5 for 6 on his way to 12 points.

Cary-Grove's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Central, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Cary-Grove will face off against McHenry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central, they will challenge Fremd at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
