Softball Preview: Westlake Warriors vs. Saugus Centurions

The Westlake Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Saugus Centurions at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Thursday, everything went Westlake's way against Simi Valley as Westlake made off with a 9-2 win.

Presley Waters spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Dani Shinko was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Samy Gallegos, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
