After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Lake Buena Vista brought some dynamite into their most recent match. Everything went their way against the Freedom Patriots on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vipers, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Allison Curtis made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Curtis was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Julianys Vega and Aiza Khan did most of the damage at the plate: Vega scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-3, while Khan scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.
