Pacelli waltzed into their game on Saturday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Bonduel Bears. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 6-3 win the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Keltin Opper was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Eric Reincke, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Pacelli's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bonduel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Pacelli will challenge Spencer at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bonduel, they will take on Wittenberg-Birnamwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
