Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Guertin Cardinals vs. Merrimack Tomahawks

The Bishop Guertin Cardinals are taking a road trip to take on the Merrimack Tomahawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Guertin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Merrimack likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Bishop Guertin came up short against Salem and fell 82-73.

Meanwhile, Merrimack lost to Nashua South at home by a 68-54 margin on Tuesday. The Tomahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Merrimack's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Bishop Guertin, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-8.

Bishop Guertin beat Merrimack 61-49 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Guertin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
