Volleyball Game Preview: ALA - Ironwood Warriors vs. Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans

The ALA - Ironwood Warriors will square off against the Gilbert Classical Academy Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, ALA - Ironwood came up short against Horizon Honors and fell 3-1. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Gilbert Classical Academy entered their matchup against Benjamin Franklin on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Spartans came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0.

Gilbert Classical Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-23.

ALA - Ironwood now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Gilbert Classical Academy, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 13-4.

ALA - Ironwood took their victory against Gilbert Classical Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
