Basketball Recap: Etowah Finds Home Court Redemption Against Ashville

There's no place like home for Etowah, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 63-57 victory over the Ashville Bulldogs on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Blue Devils: when they faced off against the Bulldogs two weeks ago, they had to take a 61-60 loss.

Despite the loss, Ashville still got an impressive performance from JB Potter, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Potter's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Parker Smith, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Etowah's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Ashville, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 13-8 record.

Etowah didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-45 victory against Hokes Bluff on the 20th. Ashville has also already played their next contest, a 70-66 win against Moody on the 24th.
