East Alton-Wood River is a perfect 4-0 against Dupo since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Oilers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. East Alton-Wood River comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

East Alton-Wood River's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Roxana on Friday. They were beaten by the Shells 55-0. While losing is never fun, the Oilers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Shells are ranked 187th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dupo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 29-23 win over Sparta/Steeleville on Friday.

Dupo's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.5 points over those games. As for East Alton-Wood River, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

East Alton-Wood River strolled past Dupo when the teams last played back in September of 2019 by a score of 36-20. Will the Oilers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
