Football Game Preview: Sumner-Fredericksburg vs. Aplington-Parkersburg

After two weeks on the road, Aplington-Parkersburg is heading back home. On Friday they take on Sumner-Fredericksburg at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Aplington-Parkersburg now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.

Last Friday, Aplington-Parkersburg received a tough blow as they fell 14-31 to Lake Mills. This makes it the second loss in a row for Aplington-Parkersburg.

Meanwhile, Sumner-Fredericksburg narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Denver 16-13. The margin of victory was a little narrower than expected seeing as Sumner-Fredericksburg are ranked 97 places ahead of Denver in the state rankings.

Sumner-Fredericksburg's victory lifted them to 6-1 while Aplington-Parkersburg's defeat dropped them down to 3-4. We'll find out if Sumner-Fredericksburg can add another positive mark to their record or if Aplington-Parkersburg can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Sumner-Fredericksburg's step.
