St. Pius X got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the St. John XXIII Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since February 13th.

The victory snapped St. Pius X's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-8-2 record. As for St. John XXIII, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Coincidentally, St. Pius X and St. John XXIII will both be playing Concordia Lutheran the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
