Softball Game Preview: Mojave Rattlers vs. Las Vegas Wildcats

The Mojave Rattlers will challenge the Las Vegas Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Friday just wasn't the day for Mojave's offense. They came up short against Southeast Career Tech on Friday, falling 12-0. The Rattlers haven't had much luck with the Roadrunners recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 17-0 to Desert Oasis on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Wildcats' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Mojave's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Las Vegas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Everything went Mojave's way against Las Vegas in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Mojave made off with a 13-0 win. Will the Rattlers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
