 University Prep is 10-0 against Big Bear since May of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The University Prep Jaguars will head out on the road to  face off against  the Big Bear Bears at 3:15  p.m. University Prep's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Big Bear's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 University Prep stacked  a  13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Big Bear  a   16-0 shutout. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for University Prep.
  Breezy (Briseis) Vargas was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Vargas was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Dani Jackman and  Brie (Brieana) Villenueva did most of the damage at the plate:  Jackman  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with a  home run, four  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Villenueva  went 2-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and a  triple. Jackman is on a roll when it comes to  home runs, as she's  now  launched  at least one in the last four games she's  played.  Vic Patino was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 University Prep pushed their record up to 19-3 with that  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.5 runs per game. As for Big Bear, they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Big Bear's pitching crew has a tough task ahead of them:  University Prep has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 11.8  hits per game. It's a different story for Big Bear, though, as  they've been averaging 8.8. Given University Prep's sizable advantage in that area, Big Bear will need to find a way to close that gap.
