Soccer Recap: Parkland Comes Up Short

Parkland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Central Davidson Spartans, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 two weeks ago.

Parkland's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Central Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkland will face off against West Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Parkland has given up an average of 5.5 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Central Davidson, they will take on Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
