Volleyball Game Preview: Wayne Christian Eagles vs. John Paul II Catholic Saints

Wayne Christian is 2-8 against John Paul II Catholic since October of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Saints at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Wayne Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Arendell Parrott Academy and fell 3-2.

Wayne Christian took Arendell Parrott Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 21-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Meanwhile, John Paul II Catholic came up short against Grace Christian on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Saints have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-8, 25-20.

Wayne Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for John Paul II Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Wayne Christian took their victory against John Paul II Catholic when the teams last played on September 9th by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
