Basketball Recap: St. Johns Country Day Piles Up the Points Against Global Outreach Charter Academy

St. Johns Country Day had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 62-17 win over the Global Outreach Charter Academy Kodiaks. The matchup marked the Spartans' most dominant victory of the season so far.

St. Johns Country Day's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kendall Proffitt led the charge by going 11 of 20 on her way to 27 points and seven rebounds. The contest was Proffitt's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Mejias, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 21 points and four steals.

St. Johns Country Day pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
