Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Hawks vs. Shelbyville Dragons

Having just played yesterday, the Pleasant Grove Hawks will jump right back in to play the Shelbyville Dragons at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Grove will be strutting in after a victory while Shelbyville will be coming in after a defeat.

Pleasant Grove's tournament run continued when they took on Beckville on Thursday. Pleasant Grove blew past Beckville, posting a 49-13 win. That 36 point margin sets a new team best for the Hawks this season.

Meanwhile, Shelbyville came up short against Beckville on Thursday and fell 49-41. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Dragons came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Bearcats are ranked 1115th).

Pleasant Grove now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Shelbyville, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
