Baseball Recap: L.W. Higgins Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southern Lab on Tuesday, L.W. Higgins came back down to earth. The Hurricanes lost 13-2 to the Caldwell Parish Spartans on Friday. The Hurricanes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

L.W. Higgins dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Caldwell Parish, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

L.W. Higgins didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-1 defeat against Mangham on the 28th. As for Caldwell Parish, they have also already played their next game, a 22-7 victory against Franklin Parish on the 28th.
