East Paulding has gone 8-2 against South Paulding recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Raiders will host the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

South Paulding will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: East Paulding extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Raiders blew past New Manchester 16-1.

Ella Shyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Shyer was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, East Paulding let Chloe Grier and Emma Hernandez run wild. Grier went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Hernandez went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs Hernandez has posted since back in September of 2024. Raelyn Benton was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

East Paulding was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .594. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, South Paulding got the win against Kennesaw Mountain on Tuesday by a conclusive 14-7. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

South Paulding's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for East Paulding, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

East Paulding beat South Paulding 7-4 when the teams last played back in August. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
