Winters had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 72-64 victory over the Williams Yellowjackets on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won six in a row.

Williams' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Diego Ambriz, who posted 24 points. The game was Ambriz's fifth in a row with at least 18 points. Miguel Murillo was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Williams has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Winters will be home for the holidays to greet Dixon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Williams, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lindhurst at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
