The Firestone Falcons will challenge the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Firestone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Firestone turned things around against Ellet on Monday. They blew past the Orangemen 13-4. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by nine runs or more this season.

On the hitting side, Blake Harris was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Malcolm Bufford, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Firestone was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They are 4-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, while Stow-Munroe Falls put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Solon. The Bulldogs walked away with a 4-0 win over the Comets. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Comets recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
The result came thanks to Josh Moore's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.
At the plate, Stow-Munroe Falls saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Boozer, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Colin Callahan was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Stow-Munroe Falls' win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Firestone, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Stow-Munroe Falls' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Firestone has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. It's a different story for Stow-Munroe Falls, though, as they've only averaged .332. Will they be able to contain Firestone's hitters?
Firestone was able to grind out a solid victory over Stow-Munroe Falls in their previous meeting back in May of 2019, winning 6-2. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
