Baseball Recap: Crossings Christian Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Crossings Christian and Mount St. Mary meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Crossings Christian Knights took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount St. Mary Rockets. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Carson Baugh was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Alex Foraker also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Crossings Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mount St. Mary, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crossings Christian will challenge Jones at 5:00 p.m. on March 24th. As for Mount St. Mary, they will square off against Fort Cobb-Broxton at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
