Basketball Game Preview: Wendover Wildcats vs. Altamont Longhorns

The Wendover Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Altamont Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with ten consecutive losses for Wendover and eight for Altamont.

It was a proper cat-fight when Wendover challenged Tabiona on Saturday. Wendover lost 55-33 to Tabiona. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Tigers since January 7, 2022.

Meanwhile, Altamont played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Duchesne, falling 64-22. The Longhorns were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-10.

Altamont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Wendover, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Wendover strolled past Altamont when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 45-30. Does Wendover have another victory up their sleeve, or will Altamont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
