Softball Recap: Mckinley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Harding

McKinley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Harding Raiders, falling 20-9. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Red Dragons' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Lydia Taylor made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Lexi Albon, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

McKinley's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Harding, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, McKinley will square off against South Range at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harding, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-3 defeat against the Bulldogs on the 4th.
