The Wake County Academy HomeSchool Wolves's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Berean Baptist Academy Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Berean Baptist Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Wake County Academy HomeSchool, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, it was close, but Wake County Academy HomeSchool sidestepped Raleigh HomeSchool for a 48-45 victory.
Steph Murray and Reg Sanders were among the main playmakers for Wake County Academy HomeSchool as the former dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds and the latter scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Murray's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Ian Maina, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Berean Baptist Academy pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 76-57 to Northwood Temple Academy. While losing is never fun, Berean Baptist Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Northwood Temple Academy is ranked 144th).
Wake County Academy HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Berean Baptist Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-17.
Wake County Academy HomeSchool couldn't quite finish off Berean Baptist Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 and fell 48-45. Can Wake County Academy HomeSchool avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
