Football Game Preview: Armada Tigers vs. Imlay City Spartans + How To Watch

The Armada Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Imlay City Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Imlay City took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Armada, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Armada didn't have too much trouble with North Branch as they won 31-14. The Tigers have beaten the Broncos the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Broncos has come to flipping the script.

Jackson Malburg had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 216 yards and four TDs. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 15 rushing touchdowns on the season.

Malburg was just one part of a punishing run game: Armada was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 42-7, which was the final score in Imlay City's tilt against Croswell-Lexington on Friday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Imlay City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Armada, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Armada against Imlay City in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-7 win. In that matchup, the Tigers amassed a halftime lead of 56-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
