Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Nona Lions vs. Olympia Titans

The Lake Nona Lions will face off against the Olympia Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lake Nona is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Cypress Creek. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Lake Nona's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jocelyn Serra, who had 26 digs and two aces. Serra has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last five times she's played. Leilany Starling was another key player, getting 13 digs and three assists.

Meanwhile, Olympia got the win against Dr. Phillips on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Olympia's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Lake Nona, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.

Lake Nona came up short against Olympia when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Titans' Eliza Perdue, who had 36 digs and five assists.
