Basketball Recap: Josiah Masters' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mount Calvary Christian over Christian School of York

Mount Calvary Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 49-40 to the Christian School of York Defenders. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Defenders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Mount Calvary Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Josiah Masters, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was JJ Cuneo, who scored 11 points.

Mount Calvary Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Christian School of York, their record is now 2-0.

Coming up, Mount Calvary Christian will venture away from home to square off against Millersburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christian School of York, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Veritas Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
