Soccer Game Preview: Angleton vs. Iowa Colony

The Angleton Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Iowa Colony Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Angleton is headed into the contest having not lost since January 17 and will look to keep things rolling. Everything went their way against Santa Fe on Friday as Angleton made off with a 4-1 win. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Iowa Colony kept a clean sheet against Santa Fe on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Indians.

Angleton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. Iowa Colony's victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
