Basketball Game Preview: Brush Beetdiggers vs. Strasburg Indians

The Brush Beetdiggers will head out to take on the Strasburg Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Brush didn't have quite enough to beat Wiggins and fell 45-42.

Strasburg has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 67-51 fall against Resurrection Christian on Friday. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Brush will need focus on slowing down Nick Glatfelter, one of several Strasburg players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Glatfelter has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Hemphill, who went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points.

Strasburg's defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-2. As for Brush, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Brush was taken down by Strasburg 68-31 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Brush, Landen Martin (who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
