Preview: Trinity School of Texas Titans vs. First Baptist Saints

The Trinity School of Texas Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the First Baptist Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Trinity School of Texas has struggled recently with 12 losses in a row, while First Baptist will arrive with 15 straight victories.

Back in December of 2023, Trinity School of Texas ended up a good deal behind Providence Academy and lost 33-14.

Meanwhile, First Baptist can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They claimed a resounding 69-3 win over Poetry Community Christian at home. 69 seems to be a good number for First Baptist as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

First Baptist relied on the efforts of Meredith Quinn, who scored 21 points along with seven assists and six rebounds, and Emily Kate Jones, who scored 30 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Jones is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. Kolbie Gillispie was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten steals.

Trinity School of Texas' defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.5 points per game. As for First Baptist, their win bumped their record up to 20-3.

Trinity School of Texas took a serious blow against First Baptist when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 61-15. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Trinity School of Texas was down 47-9.
