Volleyball Recap: Nuiqsut Trapper Takes a Loss

Nuiqsut Trapper had taken Harold Kaveolook down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Trappers fell 2-0 to the Rams. The Trappers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21.

This is the second loss in a row for Nuiqsut Trapper and nudges their season record down to 4-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 17-0 Nunamiut (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 58.3% over those games). As for Harold Kaveolook, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coincidentally, Nuiqsut Trapper and Harold Kaveolook will both be playing Nunamiut the next time they take the court. The Rams will host the Amaguq at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Trappers will play them later in the day, at 9:45 p.m.
