New Ulm Cathedral put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds with a sharp 25-5 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on Saturday.

New Ulm Cathedral got a massive performance out of Jake Finstad, who went 4-for-6 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave Finstad a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Forstner, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4.

New Ulm Cathedral was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .579. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

New Ulm Cathedral pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
