Volleyball Recap: Wagner Takes a Loss

Wagner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Dragons. If the Thunderbirds were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in August of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-15.

Wagner's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southwest, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Wagner will be playing in front of their home fans against Alamo Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Medina Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
