Softball Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

Westview fell victim to Cactus and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Cobras, falling 15-0. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Cobras recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Westview's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Cactus, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9.

Coming up, Westview will head out to face off against Peoria at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.84 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cactus, they will host ALA - Gilbert North at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.43 runs per game on average), something the Cobras will no doubt try to take advantage of.
