Football Recap: Sumrall's Undefeated Season over After Five Games + How To Watch

Sumrall started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Pearl River Central. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils on Friday. The Bobcats were up 14-0 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Pearl River Central found their leader in sophomore Titus Feaster, who rushed for 138 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 90 yards and one touchdown while completing 78.6% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Caden Hinton, who rushed for 109 yards on only six carries.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sumrall fell to 4-1. As for Pearl River Central, their record now sits at an identical 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sumrall will face off against Seminary at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pearl River Central, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
