After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kelseyville, Upper Lake was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lower Lake Trojans. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

While Upper Lake won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 26-24.

Alyssa John paced Upper Lake's offense, picking up ten kills. John got some help from Camila Martin and her 23 assists. Finally, Aimee Schaefers kept Upper Lake's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Upper Lake's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-5. As for Lower Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Upper Lake will take on rival Middletown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lower Lake is set to square off against their familiar foe Cloverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
