It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Monarch can now relate to. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Fort Lauderdale Flying L who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Fort Lauderdale Flying L's got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Monarch Knights' two. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Flying L's: they've now lost five in a row.

Monarch's loss dropped their record down to 9-7-3. As for Fort Lauderdale, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12-2.

Monarch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Lauderdale, they will face off against Coral Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Springs' last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
