Volleyball Recap: Combs Takes a Loss

Combs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Crismon Rattlers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-23.

Chloe Gonzales paced Combs' offense, picking up 15 kills. Gonzales got some help from Victoria Miller and her 22 assists.

Combs' loss dropped their record down to 10-22. As for Crismon, they moved to 18-8 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Combs will take on rival ALA - Queen Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Crismon is set to challenge their familiar foe Poston Butte at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
