Basketball Recap: Eagle Falls Short Against Ranked Boise

On Wednesday, Eagle faced Boise in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Eagle Mustangs fell 55-48 to the Boise Brave. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Brave earlier this season, when they won 59-56.

Despite the defeat, Eagle saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Berkley Jones went 5-for-12 on her way to 18 points. Jones' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Brooke Vargas was another key player, putting up eight points.

Eagle's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Boise, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-3.

As of now, neither Eagle nor Boise have any future games scheduled.
