Galena lost to Scales Mound back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Galena Pirates came out on top against the Scales Mound Hornets by a score of 61-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Despite the defeat, Scales Mound had strong showings from Kaden Duerr, who posted 11 points along with five assists and three steals, and Aidan Soppe, who earned 14 points. Soppe is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Payton Van Lent, who put up six points.

Galena's victory bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Scales Mound, their loss dropped their record down to 14-13.
