After losing to Blair the last time they met, Beatrice decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Orangemen skirted past the Bears 6-4.

Kale Koch was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Koch wasn't the only one making solid contact: Beatrice kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Orangemen are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Beatrice pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Blair, their record now sits at 2-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Beatrice is set to challenge their familiar foe Crete at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Blair will face off against rival Omaha North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
