Basketball Recap: Manawa Gets the Win

Manawa won against Amherst last Friday with 57 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Manawa Wolves pulled ahead with a 57-56 photo finish over the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Thunderbirds, too.

The win made it two in a row for Manawa and bumps their season record up to 4-2. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manawa will venture away from home to face off against Bonduel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bonduel will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Manawa surely won't give up without a fight. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they will take on Weyauwega-Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
